This week’s biggest OTT releases in India are Gajab Raat, The Paradise and Dorothy on Netflix, Chaar Yaar on Prime Video, Varam on JioHotstar, and Sumo Didi on ZEE5. Most of them landed between 21 and 24 October. For the week of 24 to 30 October, the dated titles we could verify so far are Final Table and El Marqués 1985 on Prime Video (24 October), This City Is Ours on SonyLIV (25 October) and Akka on Netflix (30 October). Netflix

Netflix has the busiest week. The Paradise is a Telugu-led period action film that streams in four South Indian languages plus Hindi. Gajab Raat is a Hindi mystery and crime thriller. Dorothy is a crime drama released in several Indian languages. On the series side, Lupin Part 4 continues the French heist-mystery show, and Nobody Wants This Season 3 is a romantic comedy. Netflix also lists several international titles this week, including Japanese and Korean shows.

Amazon Prime Video

Chaar Yaar is a Hindi crime drama series and the main India-made release on Prime Video this week. The Terminal List Season 2 is an English action thriller, and Korean titles such as Love in Disguise and Final Table are also dated this week. Some Prime Video titles in the roundups are rentals that are marked as outside India, so do not assume every title is free with your plan.

JioHotstar

Varam is a Telugu thriller-drama series. The Legend of Hanuman Season 7 is an animated mythology series that is dubbed into many Indian languages, so it works well for family viewing. Moana was also listed as arriving on 21 October.

ZEE5

ZEE5 has Sumo Didi, a Hindi sports biopic, Sattamum Needhiyum Season 2, a Tamil legal drama, and Ayyana Mane 2, a Kannada mystery. Sources do not agree on every language detail for Sumo Didi, so check the app.

SonyLIV

SonyLIV has one dated title in the roundups we read: the English series This City Is Ours, listed for 25 October. We did not find a major Indian-language SonyLIV premiere for this week. The platform did add a Tamil-Telugu-Kannada-Malayalam-Hindi dark romance film called DC on 16 October, which is last week’s release.

• Akka Season 1 on Netflix is set for 30 October, according to reports from 17 October that cite Netflix and YRF Entertainment. It stars Radhika Apte, Keerthy Suresh and Tanvi Azmi in a 1980s gangster-queen story.
• Student Of The Year: After Dark is listed for 13 November on JioHotstar, per a teaser link on a roundup site. We could not find a full announcement, so treat it as tentative.

We have not listed anything beyond these because we could not verify more dates. Platforms usually confirm titles about a week ahead.

Where we could not confirm details

Different roundups list different languages for the same film, mainly for Dorothy and Sumo Didi, so we show the more cautious entry. A few titles also appeared only on one list, so we left them out. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 was listed once and is not in the table. Dhoomakethu, a Malayalam film, was listed for Netflix on 23 October by two roundups, but we have not added it to the table because we could not confirm its details. Sumo Didi appears on one roundup as an older Hindi film newly added to ZEE5, so treat its ‘new release’ label with care.
